It is an honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 23rd Congress of the Federation of Asian and Oceania Perinatal Societies (FAOPS) in Seoul. This prestigious event will be held from September 4-6 at Coex, Seoul, South Korea. Under FAOPS 18 countries are represented and the annual congress is always well attended by specialists, post-graduate trainees, nurses, and health-care workers from the fields of obstetrics, Maternal fetal Medicine, Neonatology, Paediatrics, and those interested in improving the health and long-term outcomes of mothers and their babies. The theme of the Congress is “Collaborating for Better Perinatal Care in the Asia-Oceania Region”.

The Scientific Committee has planned out a thought-provoking program on a wide range of topics addressed by experts from the region and beyond. I have no doubt the Congress will help to broaden the perspectives of perinatal – neonatal medicine, to stimulate research activities and to obtain new information on the care of mothers and babies.
